Movie box office often doesn't equate to quality!! Just a quick thought on box office takings. The decidedly average, if wholesomely enjoyable Forrest Gump (1994) has grossed 677 million dollars at the box office. The brilliant Orson Welles- one of my favourite actors of all time starred in Don Quixote in 1992. It was not a masterpiece but highly watchable. End result - a box office take of just over 1 million! And also remember, Cervantes's Don Quixote is the highest selling novel of all time-consuming about 500 million copies sold. The final takeaway! Quality is often underappreciated- but not on this site. But film detritus like the horror Saw franchise makes gazillions to our utter disdain!
